NAR Apostle/City Council Member's Warning About Demonic Halloween Candy Republished

It's Halloween and time to recall apostle and demon-buster Kimberly Daniels' 2009 warning that "candy sold during this season has been dedicated and prayed over by witches."  The article, originally published in Charisma magazine, was so outrageous that it was scrubbed from Christian Broadcast Network's website due to complaints. But that, and her other demon-busting activities, didn't stop Daniels from being elected to the city council of Jacksonville Florida two years later - as a Democrat.  Charisma republished Daniel's article on the magazine's website on October 30 with the title "Why Celebrating Halloween is Dangerous," but this time with a caveat from the editors.
Promoting adherents as  Democratic candidates is part of an increasing trend in the NAR's city and community "Transformation" efforts, although most are not as transparent about their mission as Daniels. Currently a Democratic candidate promoted by Ed Silvoso's International Transformation Network is running for city council in Vallejo, California.  In Pennsylvania, a leader from a New Apostolic center is running in the 2014 Democratic gubernatorial primary.  Read more about the "Transformation" campaign  in the U.S. and worldwide at Political Research Associates.

Meanwhile, Daniel's career in the Jacksonville City Council has included a budget meeting in which she went on a rant and accused the city's human rights commissioner of being a terrorist with ties to someone who cut his wife's head off.  She was featured in 2012 in the National Geographic series Taboo in an episode titled "Devils and Demons."  Daniels is still a leading NAR apostle and the author of numerous books, including one with a foreword by Diana Hagee, wife of Texas televangelist John Hagee. (Hagee and MC Hammer endorsed Daniels in her run for office.)

For more on Daniels, see this Bruce Wilson compilation of her quotes and the following video, a  six and a half minute compilation of excerpts from her demon-busting career and her activism against gay rights and hate crime bills.

committees, that they seem to not see a problem promoting such far-right candidates as representative of their constituents? I don't mean to imply that I'm qualified to make suggestions to them, but I can't help but think that eventually the voters will see that the Dem is no better than the Republican peer, and more cynicism-the arch-enemy of Progressivism-will be the result.

In Vallejo, during the last electoral cycle a virulently anti-LGBT Nigerian pastor who was serving on the local Democratic Central Committee made a bid for Vallejo city council, but his frank, unapologetic (and honest) views undermined his candidacy. I think the long-term project of infiltrating local democratic party structures has been underway for some time now. With Anthony Summers, they've pulled local unions on board. It's like a recreation of old-school dirty Democratic Party machine politics as recreated by strategists of the religious right.

The obvious fix to the DINOs is for more progressive Democrats to get involved in local politics and local party committees. At least some of these progressive Ds should be skilled and tenacious at internet search engine use. Involvement could be as simple as attending 4 evening meetings a year, or whatever the minimum attendance is for intra-party straw polls for your ward.

DINO = Democrat in name only
