So what DOES (a) liberation theology look like for an African-American?
On the Wed Sept 8 Daily Show, in an exchange with John Oliver about the Koran-burning embroilment, Stewart says: (See"Jon Stewart takes on Koran-burning pastor,"by 'BruinKid,'file:///E:/Interim/Fez/Free%20yourself%20thru%20hat/Ug anda/-Jon-Stewart-takes-on-Koran-burning-pastor.htm.) It gets worse - Cathy Lynn Grossman, who writes USA Today's Faith and Reason blog, delivered a carom blow against Rev. Wright, when she asked, "Is Glenn Beck the new Jeremiah [Wright], an angry prophet?" - http://content.usatoday.com/communities/Religion/post/2010/08/gle nn-beck-jeremiah-wright-black-liberation-christian/1. My question to Ms. Grossman would be: Exactly WHO was wearing (hermeneutical) "sunglasses?" (Obviously NOT the biblical prophet - which leaves, it would seem, only ...Rev. Wright...?) (Follow Grossman's links to "Beck challenges Obama's religious beliefs after rally in D.C.," by Felicia Sonmez http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/08/29/A R2010082903405.html) and to "Glenn Beck and Liberation Theology," by James Martin, S.J. http://www.americamagazine.org/blog/entry.cfm?blog_id=2&entry _id=3224.)
My own view is, leaving Rev. Wright's fiery rhetoric (and occasional malaprops) aside
