Progressive Catholic activists, in Massachusetts, protest excluding children of gays/lesbians
According to this news story, activists are hoping that Boston's Cardinal Sean O'Malley, who is said to be relatively moderate, can be persuaded to prohibit schools from excluding children students over their parents' sexual orientation. The story also mentions that, in Denver, Colorado, the Archdiocese there supported a decision by a Catholic school in Boulder to exclude children of gay parents. The Denver archbishop, Charles J. Chaput, is said to be the most outspokenly conservative archbishop in the U.S.A.
Activists in Boston are hoping that their own archbishop will be more reasonable.
