This article was in the local paper: http://www.theledger.com/article/20101029/APA/1010290523 It doesn't mention anything about the MRFF (or anyone connected with the MRFF), and the way it reads makes it sound like just a few people are complaining about a minor problem, and not the issue it really is. The ramifications of overt proselytizing are not even brought up. I haven't taken the time to go back and look to see if the numbers are valid or not (I wouldn't put it past the news services to distort those in some way or report them so it doesn't have the impact that it should), or just what all they've left out. By leaving things out, they change the story. They protect the dominionists from fallout from their own actions. They keep the masses obedient and blind to what is going on around them. Is it any wonder that I hear "But it's a CHURCH, it can't be THAT BAD!!!" on a regular basis? That people consider us to be conspiracy nuts? What is even more amazing is just how behind the times the news services are. We've known about this for how long??? Anyway, at least it's finally gotten reported around here. That's better than nobody hearing about it at all.
