I don't think the hope for religious tolerance is working out, at least not on behalf of one of the 2 religions involved. I've been participating (I hesitate to use that word; it feels more like I've been swimming against the tide) in a discussion about this case on a news forum. The case is local to me, as Rifqa is now in Columbus, Ohio in the custody of Franklin County Childrens Services. Thought you might like to check it out, and have some links to updated info on the case. In the sense of the hatred and rhetoric spewed about Islam, it has been an alarming, but eye opening introduction for me to this peculiar and disturbing realm of "Christian" views. I'm not sure if the quotes are acceptable here or not, and apologize if not, my intent is not to malign anyone. I am just amazed at the level of hate for others I've witnessed as a result of these "discussions." At any rate, in case you'd be interested in checking it out, I'll put the links to 2 of the forums below for you. I have other really good links I could post (or get to you for posting), like audio and video testimonies of Rifqa before and after running way (also the FDLE 2 hour interview with Rifqa in Florida).
