Anti-gay PCUSA church hides pastor's adultery
The session told the congregation he was resigning for "personal" reasons (at about the same time as his affair, if the evidence is to be believed), so he was never fired, and he remains ordained and eligable for another position. What they didn't realize is that a court case would put internal church documents into the public record, and I have all the relevant court exhibits. I can document said adultery pretty well. I can also document other misbehavior. The coverup has gone on long enough that the Presbytery can't tell the congregation about the adultery without also telling the congregation "and your session has lied to you about it for the past year." This is not a small church, and would be a big loss for the denomination and Presbytery if it flew apart. I attended the church, but never joined, so the Presbytery says no documentation from me matters (only members can bring charges, even if a non member has court documents backing him up). For personal reasons, I'm limited to how big a fuss I can personally make about this. Any advice?
