How about finding a journalist who'll take an interest?  I know that good journalists seem as rare as hen's teeth these days, but maybe there is one gossipy person who would love to dish the dirt on this.

This story doesn't surprise me in the least. Several years ago I was the secretary for a yoked parish. Our female pastor was one of the most immoral and unethical people I have ever known. Her 2-year affair with a church member who had come to her for counseling, a sexually charged relationship with a couple, and gossiping about things told to her in confidence were bad enough, but the cover-up by the session and the presbytery were appalling. A few people in the congregation knew, but for the most part, it was kept from the congregation. When it got to the point where I knew too much, I was fired. When I requested a reason for the dismissal after 11 years of exemplary service, I was told they didn't need to give me one. I felt I could not be silent any longer and wrote a letter to the Presbytery's Personnel Committee reporting the situation. I provided several easily documented instances. Another woman from the church talked with the Executive Presbyter about it and was told to just be quiet and it would go away. I was never called to provide an account of the allegations to either the session or the presbytery. That pastor remained in her position for several years, leaving only when she married and moved to another community.
