...the Daily Mirror can reveal that one senior member of their organisation - which promotes "sexual purity" - is actually a lingerie model and ex-jailbird who lives with a man who is not her husband. The BNP is the most high-profile far-right party in the UK. Its current leader, Nick Griffin, was responsible in the 1990s for an anti-Jewish screed entitled Who Are the Mind-Benders?, but in recent years anti-Semitism has been dropped in favour of attacks on Islam. The party likes to portray itself in public as simply patriotic and opposed to immigration; undercover investigations have revealed a number of activists (not Potter) to be violent racists. In 2001 it attempted to establish a presence in the USA (as was reported by the Southern Poverty Law Center).
The Christian Council of Britain, meanwhile, was founded last year by an obscure Conservative Party town councillor named Robert West. Once West's views on race became known, the CCoB was denounced by Christian groups and West defected to the BNP; a few months later he was voted out of office, and has since faded from view. The CCoB website has been mainly "in development" for months, and the organisation appears to be moribund.
