As I'm sure I don't need to tell you, this is a flat out lie. What is true is that two DefCon board members -- Lawrence Krauss and Patricia Princehouse (click here for a full list of DefCon board members) -- in their lives outside of DefCon, are affiliated with the organization Keyes references. As he should know, what our board members do outside of their roles with DefCon is their choice, and in no way means that DefCon supports, endorses, or frankly is even always aware of other organizations they choose to affiliate themselves with.

We've certainly run several campaigns targeting the Ohio Board of Education -- as well as boards in other states -- prior to major votes that would weaken science education, something we will continue to do anywhere the religious right threatens science education.

What is most entertaining about this is that Keyes is trying to disparage DefCon, by accusing DefCon of what his cohorts at Focus on the Family are actually guilty of.
