TBN founder's son makes a mint from bad movies
In connection with the employment of Mr. Crouch, CDMP acquired from Mr. and Mrs. Crouch the exclusive distribution rights to the motion picture "One Night With The King" currently in production and scheduled for release around March 25, 2005 and world wide distribution rights to an animated film project "Prodigal Son" of which production is scheduled to commence in first quarter of 2005. Mr. Crouch and his wife Laurie Crouch jointly received 8,800,000 common shares of CDMP as consideration for the purchase of the assets and as partial compensation for Mr. Crouch accepting the Chief Executive Officer position. The Crouch's ownership represents approximately 60% of CDMP. From http://www.krnv.com/Global/story.asp?S=2588337&nav=8faVLUaD At the beginning of last year the shares of Gener8Xion Entertainment Inc. (GNXE.OB) were worth $3.00. That made Matthew Crouch's net worth over $26 million. Now it seems that his latest effort, the Esther movie, is over a year late and is still without a firm release date, and those who have seen the previews were less than impressed. Probably as a result, yesterday the shares of GNXE fell below $1.00 for the first time, but that still makes Matthew Crouch worth a cool $8 million. I no longer get TBN (which is probably a blessing) but no doubt they will be promoting "One Night with the King" as hard as they possibly can. After all, the finanical fortune of their son depends on the success of this movie -- if it does well, he stands to earn tens of millions through a rise in the company's stock price. There is no doubt that TBN is the Crouch's personal empire. They have gotten rich through it and they had spread the wealth around... well at least to other members of their family. I suspect that 8X is little more than a pet project for their son Matthew's entertainment and enrichment. Pity the poor fools who were conned into donating their hard earned cash to TBN in the first place, for they will see not a penny.
