Ann Coulter for... Hillary???
I've been waiting for neocons to start attacking McCain, since public interest in the more overtly theocratic candidates have faded as the primary season progresses. Rush Limbaugh also stated on Wednesday,
"He is not the choice of conservatives, as opposed to the choice of the Republican establishment -- and that distinction is key... The Republican establishment, which has long sought to rid the party of conservative influence since Reagan, is feeling a victory today as well as our friends in the media." "Conservative" in neoconservative speak is really code for "Christo-fascist, Kingdom Now/Christian Reconstructionist theocrat" and what Coulter and Limbaugh are really saying here is that what the party as a whole wants... or Lord forbid, the country... is irrelevant to the wishes of those who believe they are God-ordained to rule our country quite literally with an iron rod (as Coulter's support of torture implies). This is nothing but a scare tactic to get the rest of the GOP in line so that these so-called "conservatives" can continue to dismantle the Constitution in order to rule and reign as/for Christ. A significant number actually believe that they will literally become Christ and have all his authority when that happens. I'm no big Hillary fan either... particularly due to her membership in The Fellowship. While Coulter's statement that Hillary is "more conservative than [McCain] is" doesn't make much literal sense, if you understand that "conservative" is really a code word, and you replace the code with its actual meaning, then it is a lot easier to believe. Non-theocratic, rank-and-file Christians, including myself, just aren't buying this anymore, Ann.
