The AAC's ongoing Guerrilla War
We, ask that the Global South Primates:
1. Recognize the Network as comprizing those Anglicans inthe United States with whom the Global South Primates are fully in Communion. We suggest using the language that the primates "applaud the suggestion of the Archbishop of Canterbury that there should be a Network of Confessing Diocese and Parishes"
2. Go +Rowan (sic) and tell him that they have recognized the Network
3. Remind +Rowan of his promise to recognize the Network.
4. Tell +Rowan that if he will not recognize the Network, they will seperate from him...
...We, as bishops in North America:
a. Through a memorandum of understanding, approve today the formation of a Network of Confessing Diocese and Parishes. This Network is beign established in good faith withour Constitution. We designate Bob Duncan, Bishop of Pittsburgh, as Moderator Bishop.
b. We will bring the establishment of the Network before our Standing Committees and dioceses.
c. We will direct AAC and FiFNA to organize road shows to exppain (sic) and promote the Network.
d. We intend to cross the US/Canada boundaries.
e. We will no longer be at the Table with those who consecrated Gene Robinson.
f. We commit to the guerrilla warfare of the next year....
This is one of a number of revealing documents which came from a court filing in a lawsuit against the Diocese of Pittsburgh
The American AAC Bishops want the Global South Primates to put pressure on the Archbishop of Canterbury (+Rowan) to "recognize" their new eccelsiastical entity, the Network of anglican Communion Dioceses and Parishes (they dropped confessing from the name) as an independent province within the communion. So far, the Archbishop has refused to do this.
For more on the claim that Network was +Rowan's idea see here.
