You see, all great American leaders of the past have made terrible mistakes that have cost the lives of thousands and tens of thousands of people.  George Washington almost lost the War of Independence, and some of Lincoln's poor decisions nearly cost the North victory in the Civil War.

But it all worked out in the end (with a touch of God's helping hand, of course).  So, I guess, it will be so with George Bush and Iraq.  Only if we will stay the course, accepting that terrible mistakes will be continue to made by our President, will we prevail.

The rest of the half-hour was taken up with bashing liberals for being unAmerican (after claiming, once more, that Focus on the Family is "not political", ha ha), and working out how many Muslims are out there wanting to destroy America.  They settled on a number between 50 and 200 million. Way to scare up the base, guys!
